My name is Chelsey and I am an Arizona native who’s a die-hard Cardinals fan. This is my fifth year as an Arizona Cardinals Cheerleader, and my second season as a captain. I started dancing when I was 2 years old and cheering at the age of 5. As the baby of the family growing up with three brothers, I was a bit of a tomboy. I initially wanted to be a quarterback, but the combination of being ”fun-sized," as I call it, and dancing uncontrollably when music turns on, took me to the sidelines in another way.

I have always been heavily involved in organizations and a leader since a very young age. I feel very blessed to have my dream come true. I was fortunate enough to join the Cardinals organization as a senior in high school and have been cheering for Big Red ever since. The five seasons I’ve spent with the Cardinals have been truly unforgettable. I’ve had the honor of visiting Japan to support and perform for our troops, engage in touching experiences in the community and travel to Hawaii for Pro Bowl 2013 as an advocate for kids to remain drug-free and active with Play 60 events.

I am very passionate about giving back to children and inspiring them at a young age. When I was little, my dad told me nothing was impossible and my mom kept me grounded when I achieved the unthinkable. My parents taught me to dream and I want to pay that forward to generations to come. Know that I believe in your dreams!

While gaining these lifelong memories with the Cardinals, I simultaneously attended Arizona State University at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism. I currently work at a local news station, have several freelance jobs and give motivational speeches. I don’t have much free time, but when I do I enjoy filling it up quickly with spontaneous adventures, quality time with loved ones and random acts of kindness.

Gameday is a celebration and you are a vital part of this puzzle. I am so thankful to share an entire season with you! I have a feeling we are going to make it EPIC! We are Super Bowl bound! Let’s rise up and show everyone that “Team is what it takes!”

Let’s Go Big Red!
