My name is Janis and this is my first year being on the Arizona Cardinals Cheerleading Team. Originally from New York and Florida, I moved to the valley in my early teens. My father began taking me to all of the Cardinals games. When I saw the cheerleaders on the field, it was at that moment that I dreamed of becoming an Arizona Cardinals Cheerleader. Now that dream has come true!
Growing up I always had a love for dance, gymnastics, and performing. During my senior year in high school I competed on the pom line where we won state and went on to place in the top five at nationals. I continued on with dance education at the University of Arizona where I also received my Bachelor’s degree in Economics.
Most recently I’ve been attending modern jazz classes at Mesa Community College. Over the course of my dance career I’ve attended dance studios in Tucson and Scottsdale. I’ve had the opportunity to perform in halftime shows including with the Arizona Rattlers, Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury and even danced at the Super Bowl.
In my free time I enjoy traveling, hiking, baking and being with my family, boyfriend and friends. I am also a proud Aunt of a beautiful niece and nephew that live back in New York.
When I’m not working full time as an Environmental Compliance Coordinator in the wireless industry I also love volunteering as a mentor for the Boys Hope Girls Hope. I am so excited to be part of the squad this year and to work alongside a wonderful group of women. It is an honor to cheer in front of the best fans and for our favorite team! Go Cardinals!
