Cardinals On The Radio

In June of 2007, the Cardinals and Bonneville/KTAR renewed their three year contract, ensuring that fans will again be able to hear the team’s radio programming on Sports 620 KTAR through 2010. Cardinals games will be simulcast on Sports 620 KTAR (AM) and News Talk 92.3 KTAR (FM). Sports 620 KTAR will also air pre-game and postgame programming for every contest as well as nongame day programming that includes the Big Red Rage with Bertrand Berry. If there is a scheduling conflict with the Suns or Diamondbacks, all of the Cardinals game day programming will air on News Radio 92.3 KTAR while the baseball or basketball game will be carried on Sports 620 KTAR.

Calling the play-by-play for his seventh straight season with the Cardinals will be Dave Pasch. He joined the Cardinals in 2002 after three seasons as the football and basketball voice of Syracuse University. In addition to Cardinals broadcasts, Pasch can be seen on ESPN calling college football and basketball as well as NBA, Arena Football, and WNBA action.

Joining Pasch for his fourth year as the radio analyst will be Ron Wolfley, a four-time Pro Bowl selection and special teams standout with the Cardinals, who selected him in the fourth round of the 1985 draft. One-half of the “Doug and Wolf Show” on Sports 620 KTAR, the Buffalo, NY native played collegiately at West Virginia before enjoying a 10-year NFL career with the Cardinals (1985-91), Browns (1992-93) and Rams (1995).

Sports 620 KTAR Radio personality and Cardinals Reporter Paul Calvisi will return to offer sideline commentary on the game broadcasts.

Spanish Radio

In 2000, the Cardinals became the first professional team in Arizona to offer all games – preseason and regular season, home and away - on Spanish radio. For the third season, those broadcasts can be heard on 710 ESPN Deportes Radio in Phoenix.

The broadcast team of Gabriel Trujillo (play-by-play) and former Cardinals offensive lineman Rolando Cantu (analyst) will be back again in 2008. A

Cantu played with the Cardinals for two seasons (2005-06), and during the 2005 season, he became the first Mexican born player to ever take the field in an NFL regular season game. In addition to his broadcast duties, Cantu is also the team’s Manager of International Business Affairs.

New in 2008 will be a one hour Spanish language pre-game show, hosted by Trujillo and Cantu.

In 2008 the Arizona Cardinals reached an agreement with Grupo Acir, a radio network in Mexico with over 175 affiliates in 71 cities throughout the country. Starting with the 2008 season, the Cardinals will become the first team in the National Football League to broadcast its games in Mexico and be heard in 12 major cities.

New in 2008 is the preseason television broadcast team of Mike Goldberg and Bill Lewis. For the past five years, Goldberg has served as host of Fox Sports Net’s College Football Saturday as well as ACC Sunday Night Hoops. Since 1997, Goldberg has served as the play by play announcer of the Ultimate Fighting Championship and hosts. “UFC Unleashed” on Spike TV.

Fans should also tune to ABC 15 and FSN Arizona throughout the regular season to watch Maximum Cardinals, presented by Alltel Wireless, a 30-minute magazine style show hosted by FSN’s Jody Jackson.
