
Rookie linebacker O'Brien Schofield
signed a four-year contract Tuesday.
O’Brien Schofield continues to rehab and work the reconstructed knee he tore up in January.
Whether the linebacker can actually get on the field this season for the Cardinals is yet to be determined. But the fourth-round pick does now have a contract.
Schofield signed a four-year with the Cardinals Tuesday. Terms were not disclosed. To make room for Schofield on the roster, the Cards released tackle Devyn Tyler, an undrafted rookie out of Temple.
The move means the Cardinals have two unsigned draft picks with training camp starting Saturday: second-round linebacker Daryl Washington
and first-round nose tackle Dan Williams
. Talks have been ongoing with both players, and general manager Rod Graves said late last week he remains hopeful both will be signed to start camp.
