College Career:

A four-year letterman at Pitt, Johnson started 42 of the 51 games he appeared in for the Panthers … finished his career with a streak of 40 consecutive starts dating back to his freshman season … appeared in 51 consecutive games at Pitt, with the only missed contest being the season-opener in his freshman year in 2013 … male recipient of the prestigious Panther Award, given to the senior student-athlete who best promotes Pitt through their outstanding athletic achievements.

2016: As a senior, was named first-team All-American, becoming the first Panthers offensive lineman to earn that honor in 22 years (Ruben Brown, 1994) … also earned first-team All-ACC honors from the media and coaches … started all 13 games at left guard, finishing his career with a streak of 40 consecutive starts dating back to the 2013 Little Caesars Pizza Bowl (vs. Bowling Green) his freshman season.

2015: Started all 13 games at left guard during his junior season and was selected second team All-ACC by the league’s coaches and media. 

2014: Moved into a full-time starting role on Pitt's offensive line his sophomore year and started all 13 games at left guard.

2013: Appeared in 12 games with three starts, becoming the first true freshman to start a game on Pitt's offensive line since 2006 ... made two starts at left tackle (Nov. 2 @ Georgia Tech and Nov. 16 vs. North Carolina) and one start at right guard (Dec. 26 Little Caesars Pizza Bowl vs. Bowling Green) ... named to the ESPN.com ACC All-Bowl Team for his performance in the Panthers' 30-27 win over Bowling Green ... lone missed contest was the opener vs. Florida State. 

Personal: Attended Belle Vernon Area (PA) High School, where he was one of the nation's top offensive linemen ... rated as a 5-star prospect and the nation's No. 2 offensive tackle by Rivals .... selected to play in the Under Armour All-America Game, which showcased 90 of the top high school senior players at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, FL ... two-time first team All-Big Nine Conference ... had 74 pancake blocks as a senior, adding 25 tackles, six tackles for loss and two sacks on defense ... also a track and field standout who set the BVA shot-put record … majored in Administration of Justice.
