Originally entered the NFL as a third-round pick (66th overall) of the Houston Texans in the 2006 NFL Draft. Released on 3/12/12 and signed with Chiefs on 3/19/12. Released by Kansas City on 3/7/13. Signed a one-year contract with the Cardinals on 7/25/13.

2012: Started all 16 games at right tackle in his only year with the Chiefs … helped Kansas City lead the AFC in rushing with 149.7 yards per game … also was a key contributor in RB Jamaal Charles setting career highs with 285 carries for 1,509 yards and five TDs … the 1,509 yards ranked as the fifth-highest total in team history … helped the Chiefs top 100 net rushing yards in 13 of 16 games on the season, including seven games with more than 150 yards on the ground … blocked as Charles ran for 233 yards and a 91-yard TD run on 33 carries @ NO (9/23); marked the second-most rushing yards in a game in team history; helped Chiefs rally from a 24-6 deficit in the third quarter to win 27-24 in overtime … helped blocked for Charles to run for 88 yards and a TD vs. SD (9/30) … paved the way as the Chiefs topped 200 net yards on the ground for the second time in three weeks when they totaled 214 rushing yards vs. Bal (10/7) … served as key blocker for Charles as he topped 100 rushing yards in three straight games: vs. Den (11/25), vs. Car (12/2), and @ Cle (12/9) … part of line that allowed Chiefs to run for a season-high 352 yards vs. Ind (12/23); helped both Charles and RB Peyton Hillis top 100 yards on the ground, with Charles running for 226 yards and a TD on 22 carries; the 226 yards marked the third-highest single-game total in Chiefs history.

2009: Started all 16 games at RT for the third consecutive year … helped RB Steve Slaton rush for a season-best 76 yards on just 12 carries vs. Jax (9/27) … served as a key blocker as Texans posted a season-high 182 rushing yards @ Buf (11/1); helped RB Ryan Moats notch a career-high 126 yards and a franchise-record three rushing TDs in the game … helped as rookie Arian Foster ran for 97 yards and a TD on 19 carries @ Mia (12/27) … paved the way as Foster totaled 119 yards and two TDs on 20 attempts in season finale vs. NE (1/3/10); marked Foster’s first career 100-yard rushing game.

2008: Part of an offensive line that saw all five members start every game together for the first time in Texans history … helped Texans average 382.1 yards per game, which ranked third in the NFL … blocked as Steve Slaton ran for a franchise rookie record 1,282 yards on the season … led the way as Slaton registered his first career 100-yard rushing performance in just his second NFL game with 116 yards and a TD @ Ten (9/21) … helped Slaton rush for 93 yards and two TDs vs. Ind (10/5) … contributed to Texans running for season-best 177 yards @ Ind (11/16); Slaton posted season-high 156 yards on 14 carries … blocked for Slaton as he recorded three straight 100-yard rushing games in December: vs. Jax (12/1), @ GB (12/7), and vs. Ten (12/14).

2007: Started all 16 games at RT for the first time in his career … was one of three Texans linemen to start every game … part of a line that allowed only 21 sacks after giving up 43 the year before; the 22-sack decrease was the third-best improvement in the NFL … helped Ron Dayne run for a career-high 773 yards and post the second-highest total of his career with six rushing TDs … blocked as Dayne ran for 122 yards and a TD on 21 carries @ Oak (11/4); marked Dayne’s second-highest single-game rushing total of his career; Texans totaled a season-high 178 yards on the ground … helped the Texans top 150 yards rushing in two of the final three games of the season: 158 yards vs. Den (12/13) and 170 yards in the season finale vs. Jax (12/30).

2006: Played in 12 games and started the final seven contests of the season at RT … made his NFL debut as a reserve @ Dal (10/15) … moved into the starting lineup vs. Buf (11/19); Texans rushed for 188 yards in the game … helped the Texans top 100 yards rushing in four of the season’s final five games … paved the way as Houston posted a season-high 191 rushing yards and Ron Dayne ran for a career-best 153 yards and two TDs vs. Ind (12/24).

College:

Played in 42 games (29 starts) at Miami, earning All-American honors as a senior … began his college career as a tight end before switching to the offensive line after his freshman season … started all 12 games at LT as a senior … started the first four games as a junior before suffering a season-ending knee injury … in his first season after moving to the offensive line and started all 13 games as a sophomore in ’03 … played in all 13 games as a true freshman at tight end, recording two receptions for 13 yards.
