  • Selected by the Cardinals in the seventh round (256th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft, Christian was the draft’s final pick which made him Mr. Irrelevant, the title bestowed each year on the last pick of the draft. Arizona had one previous Mr. Irrelevant, selecting BYU TE Tevita Ofahengaue with the final pick of the 2001 draft.   
  • Spent entire rookie year on injured reserve after suffering a knee injury during the preseason.
  • Played one season at the University of Florida (2011) before transferring to Louisville where he played his final two college seasons after sitting out the 2012 campaign due to NCAA transfer rules.

College: Originally attended the University of Florida where he appeared in eight games during his redshirt freshman season in 2011 before transferring to Louisville and sitting out the 2012 season … during his two seasons at Louisville (2013-14), started 21 of 26 games played and registered 60 receptions for 810 yards and nine TDs … appeared in all 13 games, making a career-high 10 starts in 2014 ... finished fourth on the team with a career-high 32 receptions for 384 yards and five TDs ... caught at least one pass in all 13 games and averaged 12.0 yards per reception ...  caught six passes for 59 yards and a TD in the season-opening win over Miami and hauled in an 11-yard TD pass in the Belk Bowl versus Georgia … during his debut season with the Cardinals in 2013, totaled 28 receptions for 426 yards and four TDs ... caught two passes for 25 yards in the bowl win over Miami ... scored on a career-long 69 yard pass in a win on the road against USF... sat out the 2012 season as a transfer from Florida … appeared in eight games in 2011 with Florida, playing on the FG unit and in goal-line packages … redshirted as a true freshman in 2010.

Personal: Attended Dwyer (Palm Beach Gardens, FL) High School where he was a four-star prospect by Rivals.com and the No. 2 tight end in the country ... participant in the 2010 U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio ... recorded 367 receiving yards on 21 catches and three TDs as a senior and totaled over 170 tackles his final two years at Dwyer … teammate of Buffalo Bills 2015 sixth-round selection (194th overall) TE Nick O’Leary as their 2009 team featured Christian, O’Leary, University of Tennessee LB Curt Maggitt, former Louisville WR Robert Clark, Baltimore Ravens S Matt Elam and Maryland DT Keith Bowers, among other future college recruits … on their way to the state title, they won their playoff games by the scores of 53-0, 65-7, 42-6, 41-15 and 42-14.
