• Selected by the Cardinals in the fifth round (160th overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft out of Alabama.

• Stinson was the only Alabama defensive player to start every game in both 2012 and 2013. During his senior season, he finished with 42 tackles, two tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks.

• Key part of a defense that helped the Crimson Tide to back-to-back National Championships in 2011 and 2012.

• Hails from the same hometown – Homestead, FL – as Cardinals 2014 third round pick John Brown. The duo played local youth football together before going on to star at different high schools.

College Career: Started 38 of 49 games during his four seasons at Alabama, racking up 105 tackles (56 solo), 5.5 sacks, 15.5 tackles for loss, 11 QB pressures, three fumble recoveries and a forced fumble … the only Alabama defender to start every game in 2012 and 2013 … started 27 games at weak-side DE, nine on the strong-side and two at the “Jack” position.

2013: Earned All-SEC second-team honors from the Associated Press after starting all 13 games and posting a career-high 42 tackles (18 solo), with 1.5 sacks, two tackles for loss and four QB pressures … also recovered a fumble and posted a pass defensed … named Defensive Player of the Week by the Alabama coaching staff following the Virginia Tech victory, as he notched a season-best eight tackles in the 35-10 victory, also assisting on a sack and another tackle for loss … had two tackles and recovered a fumble in 25-0 shutout of Mississippi … had four tackles as he helped limit LSU to 43 yards rushing and 284 total yards … registered five tackles and a QB pressure vs. Auburn.

2012: Started all 14 games at weak-side DE and was the recipient of the Bart Starr Most Improved Player Award after recording 30 tackles (20 solo), 8.5 tackles for loss, three sacks and five QB pressures to help bolster the nation's top-ranked defense … opened the season with three solo tackles, two tackles for loss and a sack vs. Western Kentucky … registered his second sack of the season and his sixth tackle for loss as the Tide allowed only 80 rushing yards vs. Mississippi … recorded a sack for the second straight game while making three total tackles to help limit Missouri to three rushing yards and 129 total yards … started in the Tide’s BCS National Championship Game victory over Notre Dame and registered one tackle.

2011: Started nine of 13 games played at strong-side defensive end and produced 19 tackles (10 solo) with two fumble recoveries and a forced fumble … added a sack, five tackles for loss and posted five QB pressures … recipient of the Billy Neighbors Defensive Lineman Award … saw action in the Tide’s BCS National Championship Game victory over LSU and registered one tackle.

2010: Played in nine games as the backup to Courtney Upshaw and earned two starts at the “Jack” position, finishing his first season with 14 tackles (eight solo) and two QB pressures.

2009: Redshirted during his freshman year.

Personal: Attended South Dade (Homestead, FL) High School where he was a four-star DE prospect and received Super Prep All-American honors as a senior … posted 16.0 sacks with 55 tackles as a junior in 2007 … South Dade High School is also the alma mater of former Cardinals first round pick S Antrel Rolle … wore No. 49 while playing at Alabama, inheriting the number from current Cardinals S Rashad Johnson … General Studies major.
