Pro Career: Originally drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the fourth round (121st overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft. Re-signed with the Seahawks on 3/13/12. Released on 2/28/14 and signed a four-year contract with Jacksonville Jaguars on 3/8/14. Released on 3/12/15. Signed with Buffalo Bills on 8/19/15 and released on 9/5/15. Signed with Cardinals on 11/26/15. Re-signed with Cardinals to a one-year contract on 3/14/16.

2015: Played in final six games of the regular season and one playoff game after signing with Cardinals on 11/26 … recorded five solo tackles, including one for loss … made his season debut and had two solo tackles @ SF (11/29) … recorded one unassisted tackle @ Phi (12/20) … collected one tackle for loss vs. GB (12/27) … had one solo tackle vs. Sea (1/3/16) … inactive in Divisional Playoff vs. GB (1/16/16) … registered two tackles in NFC Championship Game @ Car (1/24/16).

2010: Switched from DT to DE and started the first seven games before suffering season-ending knee injury … Seahawks defense ranked second in the NFL against the run prior to his injury … totaled 18 tackles, one sack, two tackles for loss, two fumble recoveries and a forced fumble … collected three tackles and his first career sack and forced fumble in season opener vs. SF (9/12) … had four solo tackles and a career-best two fumble recoveries vs. SD (9/26) … posted a season-high five tackles @ StL (10/3) … suffered a knee injury @ Oak (10/31) and was placed on injured reserve.

Personal: Full name Joseph Anthony Bryant … attended Jasper (TX) High School where he was named first-team All-State by the Texas Sports Writers Association … one of eight finalists for the Willie Ray Smith Award, given to the top offensive and defensive lineman in Southeast Texas … named district MVP as a senior and was Southeast Texas Defensive Player of the Year and District Player of the Year in 2001 … got the nickname “Red” because his Mom said he was a red baby … along with his wife, Janelle, the couple have two sons: Brooks and Jacob, and a daughter, Jordyn; the couple is also expecting another son, Jax, in August of 2016.
