Cardinals sit both Robert Nkemdiche, Markus Golden against 49ers

Defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche (foot) and defensive end Markus Golden (knee), both of whom missed practice Friday after having injury issues crop up during the week, are inactive against the 49ers Sunday, meaning the Cards will have to go into the backups as they try to slow an effective 49ers run game. The moves mean defensive end Ifeadi Odenigbo will be active for the first time this season, and Benson Mayowa will slide back into the starting lineup where he played for Golden earlier this season.

Wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald (hamstring/back) will play, and as expected, Sam Bradford remains inactive as the team's third quarterback. The full inactive list:

-- QB Sam Bradford

-- RB T.J. Logan

-- DE Markus Golden (knee)

-- G Jeremy Vujnovich

-- T Blaine Clausell

-- T Korey Cunningham

-- DT Robert Nkemdiche (foot)

For the 49ers, defensive back Jimmy Ward is out but cornerback Richard Sherman, coming off a calf injury, is active, and all three starting offensive linemen battling knee problems -- Joe Staley, Weston Richburg and Mike McGlinchey -- are active as well.
