
The Arizona Cardinals Community Quarterback Award recognizes outstanding volunteers in the state of Arizona ages 13 and up. A panel of community leaders will determine the award recipients and award a total of $20,000 to the charitable organizations they serve. This program honors individuals who exemplify leadership, dedication, and commitment to improving the communities in which they live through volunteerism.
Eligibility & RequirementsArizona residents ages 13 and up are eligible to apply. Applicants must be no younger than 13 years of age by January 1, 2012. Individuals may nominate themselves or others for the 2012 Community Quarterback Awards.
Applicants must be a volunteer at a 501c3 non-profit organization (school, youth center, church or non-profit service agency, etc.).
The non-profit organization must agree to accept any grant monies awarded from the Community Quarterback Award program on the nominee's behalf and allocate as needed to the program in which the volunteer is supporting.
The 2012 Community Quarterback Award winners are:- George Emmons, Foundation for Blind Children $8,000
- Bob Emmelkamp, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation $3,000
- Heather Bongiolatti, The Wellness Community $3,000
- Megan Bethel, Sky Island Alliance $3,000
- Gregg Smith, Hospice of the Valley $3,000
