Christian Kirk is officially a member of the Cardinals.

The Arizona native inked his four-year rookie contract on Thursday afternoon, becoming the fifth member of the draft class to sign. Rookie deals are slotted so Kirk had an idea of the dollar figure after getting drafted, but said putting pen to paper was still a big deal.

"I couldn't wait for my day," Kirk said. "When they told me I was going to be able to sign this week, I was more than happy. Obviously I've been with the team for some weeks, but to be officially signed is

awesome. It's such a great feeling and the official start of a new journey."

The second-round pick has already been thrown into the mix with the veterans at practice as he attempts to carve out a substantial role as a rookie.

"I think every practice I'm getting better," Kirk said. "I can't expect myself to go out there and be perfect, even though that's what I want. There have been dropped passes, missed assignments, but that just comes with the process of being a rookie. I'm learning a lot from (the veterans). I feel like every day I'm getting better, and I feel like after Week Two of OTAs, I had my best practice today."

The lone draft pick yet to sign is third-round pick Mason Cole.
