About Johnny: Johnny Roland is a former NFL running back and return specialist who played seven seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals (NFL) from 1966–1972. Known for his speed and versatility, Roland contributed both as a ball carrier and as a dangerous kick returner during his time with the Cardinals. Roland played college football at the University of Missouri, where he developed into a dynamic offensive weapon before entering the NFL.
Over his NFL career, Roland rushed for 3,750 yards and 28 touchdowns, providing the Cardinals with a reliable rushing threat and playmaking ability out of the backfield. His speed and toughness helped make him one of the team's most productive running backs during the late 1960s and early 1970s.
