This isn't new news but it is news that apparently hasn't made it everywhere (I was doing a radio interview with a Baltimore station Monday when he talked about the Cards' boatload of cap space). The Cards don't have a lot of cap space right now but it has been known for a while they were up against it. There isn't a lot of concern right now because, assuming Edgerrin James is released, that will buy back more than $4 million of space. If the Cards can ever work out an extension with LB Karlos Dansby, that will create space too. But it also underscores why Anquan Boldin isn't about to walk in and get a new deal at this moment, either.
