Arizona Cardinals Home: The official source of the latest Cardinals headlines, news, videos, photos, tickets, rosters and game day information

TV times three on Cards' schedule

The schedule is now out and the Cardinals get three national prime time games, including two on "Sunday Night Football" against the Colts and Giants. That never would have happened in the past, but it shows what winning does (and an exciting offense with the best receiver in football and a quarterback that slings it all over the field).

Coach Ken Whisenhunt will be speaking soon, but a few quick thoughts:

-- Tough getting the Giants on national TV but that was going to be a difficult trip no matter what. I am excited to see a jacked-up crowd against Peyton Manning and the Colts.

-- Good to finish with two home games, but there are some road stretches (7 of 10, 4 of 5) that will test this team in the meat of the season.

-- Cards need to make hay early. Three of the first four at home, with a bye sprinkled in. At this early stage, you'd think the Cards better take at least three of those games.

-- At Chicago Nov. 8 shouldn't be too bad for weather, right? At New York Oct. 25, same thing. At Tennessee Nov. 29 could be chilly. But overall, the Cards looked like they have dodged weather bullets.
