  • The Cardinals third-round selection (92nd overall) in the 2016 NFL Draft, Williams appeared in 13 games with three starts as a rookie and totaled 23 tackles, four passes defensed and three special teams tackles.
  • Played three seasons at Texas A&M (2013-15) after beginning his collegiate career at Oklahoma in 2011. Played RB in college before switching to CB as a senior at A&M in 2015.
  • Made the switch to cornerback in June of 2015 at the request of defensive coordinator John Chavis, who served as defensive coordinator/linebackers coach at LSU from 2009-14. Chavis coached current Cardinals CB Patrick Peterson and S Tyrann Mathieu and is the person who introduced the “Honey Badger” nickname to Mathieu.
  • Ran the 40-yard dash in 4.37 seconds at the 2016 NFL Combine. Only five players clocked faster times – Georgia RB Keith Marshall (4.31), Notre Dame WR Will Fuller (4.32), Auburn CB Jonathan Jones (4.33), Clemson S T.J. Green (4.34) and Purdue CB Anthony Brown (4.35).

Personal: One of the top prep players in the country, Williams was a five-star recruit coming out of Royal (Brookshire, TX) High School where he was named an Under Armour All-American, a PrepStar Dream Team selection and was ranked as the No. 3 running back nationally by Rivals.com and Scout.com … rushed for 2,438 yards and 33 TDs as a senior in 2010 while racking up 144 receiving yards with two TDs and was named 2010 Texas 3A All-State … as a junior in 2009, rushed for 1,815 yards and 14 TDs while totaling 38 receptions for 512 yards and four TDs … majored in Agricultural Leadership and Development … has two daughters, Serenity and Lila.
