Entering its 24th season, the Cardinals "Player of the Week" award is selected by a local sports panel consisting of AZ Family sports anchor and reporter Julia Lopez, former sports anchor and reporter Bruce Cooper, NBC 12 sports anchor and reporter Cameron Cox, former high school football head coach and AIA Game of the Week commentator Kelly Epley, and Arizona Republic High School Sports Insider Richard Obert.
Each week, the Cardinals "Player of the Week" program recognizes a selected high school football player with a certificate signed by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, Cardinals Owner Michael Bidwill, and Cardinals Head Coach Mike LaFleur. A Cardinals Legend will take part in the presentation at the winning player's school.
