Arizona Cardinals Clear Bag Policy

Tailgating Guidelines

Tailgating and parking at Sportsman’s Park and all Arizona Cardinals parking areas are governed by the guidelines below. Read them before game day — failure to follow them can result in ejection or removal from the carparks.

Tailgating Guidelines

Where & When You Can Tailgate

3 guidelines
  • Tailgating activities Defined as, but not limited to, food preparation, music, watching television, and sitting, standing and/or loitering in a tailgate area. Tailgating is prohibited after kickoff.
  • Hours of activity Permitted from the opening of all Cardinals parking areas — 4 hours prior to game time — until kickoff only. Tailgating after the game has begun or post-game is not permitted.
  • Parking spaces Tailgating must be limited to the area directly in front of or behind the vehicle. Tents and equipment must not extend beyond the red painted fire lanes, along sidewalks and painted walkways, or into other areas deemed an obstruction by stadium team members. Tailgating in empty stalls is prohibited, even with an unused parking pass. An ADA stall is 10.9′ x 18′ and a standard stall is 8.5′ x 18′; both come with an additional 5′ at the end of the spot leading up to the red fire lane line.

Food, Drink & Cooking

3 guidelines
  • Alcohol consumption Excessive or underage consumption of alcohol will not be tolerated. Drinking games and any other activity linked to competitive or binge drinking are not permitted. Games or activities determined by security team members to be unsafe, or which could cause harm to other fans, will not be allowed.
  • Food and beverages Fans are limited to preparing and providing food and beverages for their family and friends only. Private catering companies and the sale of food or beverage items to other fans on Sportsman’s Park property or prior to gameday are not permitted. Food or beverage distributed to collect donations is also prohibited.
  • Grills & heaters Natural gas and propane grills and heaters are permitted. Charcoal grills, pellet grills, and oil fryers are not permitted. Flames must be kept under control at all times and grills and heaters should never be placed under tents.

Equipment, Power & Tents

3 guidelines
  • Audio equipment Portable public address systems, DJs, and live instruments connected to electrical amplifiers are not permitted. Large portable radios, commercial speaker systems, and in-vehicle sound systems cannot be used at excessive volume levels or play music unsuitable for a public setting — for example, profanity in lyrics — as determined by parking lot or security teammates.
  • Generators Small portable electric generators (6500W or less) are allowed. Electrical cords cannot be placed across parking area drive aisles or any sidewalk, or create a trip hazard for other fans. Cords of any kind cannot be plugged into existing electrical outlets of State Farm Stadium or the Sportsman’s Park infrastructure.
  • Tents Fans may bring up to a 10′ x 10′ shade tent for use within Sportsman’s Park. Use above-ground weights only, in both the carparks and grass areas, and keep your tent within the red painted fire lane on the asphalt.

Prohibited Items & Site Care

3 guidelines
  • Prohibited items and activities Weapons or explosives of any kind, unmanned aircraft systems (drones, radio-controlled model aircraft, etc.), fireworks, glass containers, the sale of goods or services, advertising, and the display of commercial signage on tents are prohibited. Signage, posters, flags, or displays identified by security personnel and deemed inappropriate, political in nature, or offensive are also prohibited.
  • Unmanned aircraft systems Drones, radio-controlled model aircraft, and similar devices are prohibited. Possession or operation will result in immediate ejection from the area and law enforcement intervention.
  • Waste The Cardinals encourage all fans to reduce, reuse, and recycle, and to dispose of all waste in the appropriate waste and recycling containers located throughout the tailgating areas.

Enforcement — Failure to follow any of these guidelines could result in ejection and/or removal from Sportsman’s Park Carparks.

Parking Guidelines

Hours & Access

2 guidelines
  • Hours of operation Sportsman’s Park carparks and other Cardinals parking areas open four (4) hours prior to kickoff and close one (1) hour after the conclusion of the game. Follow the direction of law enforcement — vehicles cannot stage on or block the flow of traffic on city streets before carparks and lots open. Vehicles may not park overnight prior to game day.
  • Parking pass Arizona Cardinals parking is fully digital. Access your pass in the Cardinals Mobile App by tapping “My Tickets” on the home screen to sign in and view your parking location and pass. Keep your phone fully charged, since it holds both your parking pass and game ticket. To speed up entry, have your digital pass open and ready to scan before approaching the stadium.

Spaces & Vehicle Types

3 guidelines
  • Parking spaces A mobile parking pass is valid for one (1) parking space only. Trailers of any kind are not permitted. Spaces are first come, first served and cannot be reserved or saved — groups who wish to park together must arrive at the same time. An ADA stall is 10.9′ x 18′ and a standard stall is 8.5′ x 18′.
  • Oversized vehicles Lot F is the only oversized parking area and opens 4 hours and 30 minutes prior to kickoff. Each oversized vehicle must have a valid “Lot F Oversized Vehicle” mobile parking pass, valid for one (1) parking space and one (1) vehicle only. Maximum parking space length is 45 feet.
  • Sprinter vans & limos Sprinter vans and limos exceeding the parking stall dimensions are prohibited from entering all carparks not designated for oversize vehicles.

Prohibited Items & Activities

2 guidelines
  • Prohibited items and activities Not permitted: weapons or explosives of any kind, fireworks, unmanned aircraft systems (drones, etc.), glass containers, golf carts, Segways, skateboards, roller blades, bicycles, scooters, hover boards, and other non-licensed motorized vehicles. Signage, posters, flags, or displays identified by security personnel and deemed inappropriate, political in nature, or offensive are also prohibited.
  • Commercial activity The sale of goods or services, advertising, and the display of commercial signage on vehicles are strictly prohibited and may result in confiscation of promotional materials, citation, ejection, or arrest. Vehicles with exterior advertising can be stopped from entering the carparks even with a valid parking permit. Placing flyers or brochures on vehicles is also strictly prohibited.

Lot Conduct & Security

2 guidelines
  • Speed loading Fans are asked to follow the direction of parking team members to quickly park their vehicle.
  • Safety and security Sportsman’s Park and other Cardinals parking areas are patrolled by parking lot and security team members and law enforcement officers. Tampering with or removing any parking lot infrastructure is strictly prohibited.
