Kenny Bell enters his fifth season with the Cardinals and first as Director, Football Strategy after joining the team in January, 2019. He was chief of staff/offensive assistant last year after working as the assistant to the head coach.
In his previous role, Bell worked alongside the head coach in organizing the day-to-day operations of the players and coaches while also working with the offensive coaching staff. He came to the Cardinals in 2019 after spending the previous six seasons (2013-18) as the chief of staff at Texas Tech University. Prior to his time at Texas Tech University, Bell spent a season at Texas A&M (2012) and three seasons at the University of Houston (2009-11).
While at Texas Tech, Bell was responsible for all non-coaching activities of the Red Raiders football program. He oversaw football operations, recruiting, personnel, academics and served as the football liaison to the university administration.
Prior to his time in Lubbock, Bell served as the Director of Recruiting at Texas A&M University where he managed all day-to-day recruiting operations and coordinated the off-campus recruiting efforts of the coaching staff.
Bell's career began at the University of Houston in 2009 as an operations assistant. In 2011, Bell served as an offensive quality control coach and helped Houston to a 13-1 record and as they led the NCAA in passing offense, total offense and scoring offense.
A native of Deer Park, TX, Bell graduated with a bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Houston. Bell and his wife, Candace, have two daughters, Sloane and Brynn.
