Wendy Laurent (luh-RENT) is in his first season with the Cardinals as the Bill Bidwill Fellowship coach after joining Arizona's staff on 2/25/26.
Laurent is the eighth individual to participate in the Bill Bidwill Coaching Fellowship, which was established ahead of the 2015 season and was designed to increase diversity and create additional opportunities for coaching experience at the highest level
He returns to the Cardinals after serving as the Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellow during training camp in 2025. Prior to joining the Cardinals, Laurent was the tight ends coach at Old Dominion.
Laurent spent last season as the assistant tight ends coach at Ohio State and helped the Buckeyes to a 12-1 record and a berth in the College Football Playoff Semifinals. He guided TE Max Klare to first-team All-Big Ten accolades in 2025 after posting 43 receptions for 448 yards and two TDs, ranking third on the Buckeyes in both receptions and receiving yards. Laurent also worked with TE Will Kacmarek, who was named All-Big Ten honorable mention.
Prior to Ohio State, Laurent spent three seasons (2022-24) at Dartmouth where he was the associate head coach/tight ends. Under his mentorship in 2024, TE Chris Corbo was named to the Walter Camp All-American team and was a first-team All-Ivy League selection after he led the Big Green with seven TDs and finished the season second in receptions (32) and third in receiving yards (315).
Laurent worked as a graduate assistant at his alma mater, Penn State, from 2020-21 after beginning his coaching career at the University of Buffalo as a graduate assistant working with the offensive line in 2019. He played collegiately at Penn State (2012-16) and appeared in 34 games with eight starts at center. During his final two seasons with the Nittany Lions, he helped block for RB Saquon Barkley who rushed for 2,572 yards on 454 carries and 26 TDs during that span.
Laurent attended The Hun (Princeton, NJ) School of Princeton where he was a three-year letterman and was ranked by Scout.com as one of the top 20 centers in the country. As a senior, Laurent was named a team captain and earned first-team All-Area and first team Mid-Atlantic Prep League honors.
Laurent earned his bachelor's degree in Economics from Penn State.
