In its 21st year, the Cardinals "Player-of-the-Week" award presented by Circle K and SCHEELS is selected by a local sports panel consisting of former NBC-12 sports anchor Bruce Cooper, NBC-12 sports anchor Cameron Cox, NBC-12 sports commentator Lina Washington, Circle K brand manager Mitchell Miranda, color commentator AIA Game-of-the-Week Kelly Epley, and Arizona Republic/azcentral writer Richard Obert.

The Cardinals weekly "Player-of-the-Week" program presented by Circle K and SCHEELS presents a selected high school player with a certificate signed by NFL Commissioner Rodger Goodell, Cardinals Owner Michael Bidwill and Head Coach Jonathon Gannon. Cardinals Cheerleaders, Cardinals team mascot Big Red and Cardinals alumni will take part in the presentation each week of the winning school."
