Arizona Cardinals In The Community

This Is Arizona
Football, family, tradition, and community come together to honor Latino culture across Arizona.
Celebrate the Culture
The Arizona Cardinals proudly celebrate Latino Heritage Month by honoring the people, traditions, and stories that help define our team, our fans, and our communities.
The Latino community has long been an essential part of the Cardinals family, bringing passion, culture, and leadership that enrich our organization, strengthen our communities, and help shape the game of football. Throughout this month, we celebrate the fans, players, coaches, staff, legends, and community leaders whose contributions continue to inspire and connect us all.
As we recognize Latino Heritage Month, we are proud to honor a heritage that reflects the strength, diversity, and spirit of Arizona and the Cardinals family, while creating meaningful opportunities to celebrate culture, community, and the people who make this game so special.

September in the Community
The celebration reaches far beyond State Farm Stadium. Here is what the Cardinals are doing across Arizona this month.
9/11 Day of Service
Cardinals Legends and staff will take part in a community remembrance 5K walk to honor the lives lost on September 11. Beginning at Tempe Town Lake, veterans from our community will carry two flags every hour on the hour, accompanied by Cardinals Legends. Along the route, participants will stop at the Tempe Healing Field to recognize and honor each individual lost in the tragedy.
Mexican Independence Celebration
Players will spend the day enjoying live music and authentic Mexican food, including barbacoa, with residents of Casa Primavera Senior Center. The celebration will feature a salsa tasting competition and dancing, honoring Latino culture.
Girls in Aviation Day at United Aviate Academy
Twenty to twenty-five high school girls from predominantly Latino schools will visit the United Aviate Campus for a hands-on learning experience to inspire the next generation of aviation professionals. Participants will explore aircraft maintenance operations, tour campus departments and aircraft, experience flight simulators, and engage in meaningful discussions with flight instructors about careers in aviation.
Physical Education With a Pro
Players will spend time alongside Physical Education teachers at select Valley elementary schools, leading interactive PE classes designed to inspire active lifestyles and healthy choices. The sessions will emphasize movement, teamwork, and the importance of physical and mental wellness in a fun and supportive environment.
Lunch Buddies
Players will help create a memorable lunchtime experience by serving meals, assisting at the registers, and engaging with students, promoting healthy choices while fostering a positive and uplifting environment that supports students' overall well-being.
Latin Heritage Parade at Paseo Pointe Dual Language Academy
Big Red will join students from Laveen School District in a Latin Heritage Parade celebrating Spanish-speaking countries and their rich cultures. During the visit to Paseo Pointe Dual Language Academy, the Arizona Cardinals will donate updated sit-upons and a collection of Spanish-language books, helping create a comfortable and engaging space for students to enjoy reading and strengthen literacy skills.
Family Action Day for Hunger Action Month
Arizona Cardinals staff, Legends, and their family members will volunteer at United Food Bank, packing and distributing food to support local families experiencing food insecurity.
Boys & Girls Club
Players will spend time with local youth at the Boys & Girls Club, participating in games, activities, and mentorship conversations that encourage healthy lifestyles, positive social connections, and personal growth.
College & Career Panel with Chicanos Por La Causa
Arizona Cardinals staff will serve as panelists in a discussion hosted in partnership with Chicanos Por La Causa (CPLC), one of the nation's largest Hispanic nonprofit organizations. The conversation will engage inner-city youth and students from underserved communities, highlighting educational pathways, career opportunities, leadership development, and resources available to support their success after graduation.
