Biography

NoteCARDS:

  • Selected by the Cardinals in the first round (16th overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft out of Tulsa and signed a two-year contract extension in August of 2024 that will keep him with the Cardinals through the 2026 season.
  • Has appeared in 67 of a possible 68 games (56 starts) and totaled 223 tackles (25 for loss), 17 QB hits, 13 passes defensed, 10.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, two INTs (one returned for a TD) and a fumble recovery in his first four seasons (2021-24).
  • Was one of just four Cardinals players (Will Hernandez, Paris Johnson Jr. and Hjalte Froholdt) to start all 17 games in 2023, and the only player on defense to do so. Started all 17 games again in 2024, joining Froholdt as the only players to start all 17 games each of the last two seasons.
  • Led the team with a career-high 5.0 sacks in 2024.
  • Had an INT and a fumble recovery in the 2023 season opener @ Was (9/10), becoming the first Cardinal since 2016 (CB Justin Bethel) to have both an INT and a fumble recovery in a single game.
  • In 2022, started all 16 games he appeared in and amassed 100 tackles (63 solo), 2.0 sacks, an INT (returned for a TD), 11 tackles for loss, 4 QB hits, a forced fumble and six passes defensed. One of five players in the NFL in '22 with 100+ tackles, 6+ passes defensed and 10+ tackles for loss.
  • Scored his first career TD in Week 9 of the 2022 season vs. Seattle, on a 30-yard INT return of a Geno Smith pass.
