Cards Host Coffee Break

The Arizona Cardinals hosted a "Cardinals Coffee Break" on the main concourse slab of the New Arizona Cardinals Stadium in Glendale on Thursday, March 25.

During the break, President William V. Bidwill and VP and General Counsel Michael Bidwill handed out hats and t-shirts that read "Cardinals Stadium Construction Crew" to over 300 employees working on the site. The workers were also treated to free Krispy Kreme doughnuts and coffee.

"They were really excited about it," said Hunt Construction Group General Superintendent Jim Garrison of the mid-morning coffee break. "The men in the field here, it is a huge deal with them. Getting fed, meeting the Bidwill's, and receiving the shirts and hats, it is a big deal to them. They are working on a one-of-a-kind stadium with the field coming in and out and the retractable roof and it is special to be part of this project."

To avoid some of the afternoon heat, some of the crews have been arriving at the site as early as midnight.

"They start early, early in the morning and go until the afternoon and they are working hard to build a great stadium for Cardinals fans and we wanted to come out and say thank you for their hard work," offered Michael Bidwill. "They are doing a great job, they are on schedule, and I think they are very excited about the new stadium and us moving in."
