Adrian Wilson, Your "Vice President of Stuff"

This question has been asked a few times of me: Adrian Wilson, he's just a scout? I mean, I get it. That's Wilson's official title when you go look at the staff page. But he does a bunch of different things in the front office, scouting both college and pro players and recently, sitting in on the interviews for head coaching candidates -- something that team president Michael Bidwill again talked about, this time in the latest edition of "Flight Plan."

And fortunately for all of us, Bidwill also brought up one of Wilson's nicknames.

"We call him Vice President of Stuff," Bidwill said.

Seems the origin came from Bruce Arians, who was calling Wilson "Stuff." At first, Wilson wasn't sure why.

"I'm like, 'B.A., why do you call me 'Stuff' all the time?' " Wilson said. "He was like, 'Dude, you do so much stuff around here and they don't give you no title. So I'm going to call you Stuff. Vice President of Stuff.' That's where it came from. It kind of stuck."

Truth be told, I had heard it uttered before, but A-Dub being A-Dub, he tries where he can to stay behind the scenes. But his work in the front office is important to him; his long-term goal someday isn't to be a VP as much as a GM.

"I don't look for roles (or) titles, those types of things," Wilson said. "The most important thing is winning, and trying to get this franchise back. So whether I am doing (scouting for) college players, whetherI am doing pro players, whatever it is, I just want to do the stuff that matters."
