DeAndre Hopkins Is In The Building, In Uniform

The news broke that the Cardinals were getting DeAndre Hopkins on March 16. The trade wasn't officially announced until March 20, pending physicals. Those physicals weren't done and the trade officially official until April 15.

And it wasn't until Saturday -- Aug. 1 -- that Hopkins officially got into the building and put on a Cardinals uniform for the first time.

Such is life in a pandemic, but now Hopkins has been seen in his new uni.

The Cardinals' veterans have gone through their initial three-test protocols this week, and the players were taking part in "media day" Saturday and Sunday -- photos of the new players in their Cardinals' gear, new headshots, and those intro shots used when starters are announced at the beginning of games on national TV.

The veterans will now join the rookies and quarterbacks who had already started some stuff in the strength and conditioning and walkthroughs. Kliff Kingsbury said earlier this week the Cardinals wouldn't head out to State Farm Stadium until around Aug. 9 with practice starting a few days later. Until then, it'll be prep work (and meetings) for Hopkins and the rest of the Cardinals as training camp approaches.
