Options Will Be Open For "Playmaker" Kyler Murray

At one point Tuesday, co-host Paul Calvisi began a question about the Cardinals' offense for Kliff Kingsbury during the "Kingsbury Chronicle" podcast. "Is it classified if we wonder ..." Calvisi began, before Kingsbury cut him off. "Yes," Kingsbury said. "Yes."

Clearly -- and as we have noted before -- Kingsbury would prefer to keep his plans as under the radar as possible.

But Kingsbury did field a question from a fan about the idea of run-pass option plays when it comes to new quarterback Kyler Murray. Kingsbury called it "a fine line you have to walk."

"You want to have some RPO game, but you want him to have the option to pull it every now and then because he's one of the most dynamic players on the field," Kingsbury said. "We have to have a happy mix of both and make sure he is comfortable in doing that."

As for the idea of leaning on Murray's athleticism in context of the offense, Kingsbury said that "happens organically" with the Oklahoma rookie.

"He's a playmaker and if you watch him throughout his career, that's what he does," Kingsbury said. "He can take a play that's not open and turn it into a spectacular play on any given play."
