NAME: SECONDARY
Okay, so, it might not be one particular "name," but eyes will be on the entire Cardinals secondary against a lethal Rams passing attack. Wide receiver Davante Adams took a sip from the fountain of youth; he's in Year 12 but it doesn't show. Adams has logged 14 receiving touchdowns, 11 of those in the last six games and 11 of those for 10 or fewer yards. Meaning, Adams is not just a one-on-one matchup nightmare out wide, he's also a threat in the red zone. Arizona's defensive backs are going to have to play smart, clean football and deny the ball on obvious passing downs. Quarterback Matthew Stafford is slinging the rock and has committed few turnovers, consistently hitting his receivers. The defensive backs must know their roles on every play and can't get caught lagging or giving Adams and Puka Nacua too much space because those two know how to make a defense pay.

NUMBER: 303
The attention for the top wideout spot shifts back over to Michael Wilson as the Cardinals are set to host the Rams. In his two games as WR1 in place of Marvin Harrison Jr., Wilson had 303 receiving yards on 25 receptions. Those numbers dipped once Harrison returned against the Bucs, however Harrison might be on the sideline once more after sustaining a heel injury. There's long been confidence that Wilson could produce like a top target, and his play as the "X" receiver in previous games doubles down on that belief. Last season against the Rams, Wilson had 53 yards in two games played. If Wilson is back as WR1, he might be able to top last year's stats in one game.

NUANCE: OPPORTUNITY TO IMPROVE
With the playoffs out of reach, it would be easy to dismiss the final five games. Easy, but wrong. The last month-plus of the regular season is an opportunity for several young players to improve and, maybe more importantly, build confidence towards 2026. Take second-year offensive lineman Isaiah Adams, who returned to the starting lineup at right guard last week. This week, Adams faces his toughest challenge to date: the Los Angeles Rams front seven. What Adams can gain in going 1-on-1 with defensive linemen Braden Fiske and Kobie Turner or linebackers Jared Verse and Byron Young can only help him, and therefore the Cardinals. How players like Adams finish the season will go a long way in shaping next season.
