Budda Baker Sends Word He Is Doing OK After Hit

Safety stayed in L.A. hospital after scary collision

By the time Monday night's game had ended, the news was already trending positive for Budda Baker, after the hellacious hit and scary result that ended up with Baker going limp after a collision with Rams running back Cam Akers.

Baker was taken by stretcher off the field, but sooner after we heard that Baker had feeling in his extremities. Baker tweeted out he was OK. Then Tuesday morning came a Baker video he took of himself that he posted on his Instagram account.

"Thank you for all the well wishes and the prayers from everyone," a shirtless Baker said from his hospital bed. "I appreciate you guys. Everything came out clean. I'm going to make a full recovery, so definitely blessed. I'm excited to get out of this hospital and get back to Arizona. I haven't been able to shower, I stink still, and just ready to get back home and be with my family. Love you guys, appreciate all y'all always sending love."

That is excellent news, right from the source, after a frightening situation in Los Angeles.

UPDATE: Baker is flying home Tuesday morning.
