Budda Baker Jumps To No. 19 On 'Top 100' NFL Players

All-Pro safety was No. 97 a year ago

While Kyler Murray made a healthy jump in the NFL top 100, but nowhere close to what safety Budda Baker did when it came to his climb.

Baker, who was an All-Pro in 2020, was voted in as the 19th-best player on the list announced Sunday. Baker was No. 97 on last year's reveal.

Quarterback Kyler Murray was No. 39 on the list, and defensive lineman J.J. Watt was No. 66. Wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins figures to be coming at some point.

Baker, who was named a captain into the 2020 season after Chandler Jones was injured for the year, finished with 118 tackles (second on the team to linebacker Jordan Hicks), two sacks, two interceptions, six passes defensed, three quarterback hits and a forced fumble. His goal coming into this season is to be more vocal of a leader, which will help a team seeking such leadership.
