Arizona Cardinals Home: The official source of the latest Cardinals headlines, news, videos, photos, tickets, rosters and game day information

One of the most commonly asked questions I get is, "what does it feel like to be waiting in the tunnel before the game begins?" If I could put into words what it feels like to perform in front of all !of you, the best analogy I could give would be a "surprise party". As the birthday individual enters the house, he/she can sense that something is about to happen. A few seconds pass, the "surprise" is revealed, and excitement overwhelms not only the person of honor, but the guests as well, as they all engage in an unforgettable memory. Standing in the tunnel about to enter the field, the minutes pass as seconds, and I can feel anxiousness among myself and those around me. And then as I enter the field, the sea of red ignites and roars and radiates an infectious energy that jolts through my body; it's the biggest adrenaline rush I've ever experienced!  We all engage in a few hours of celebration and share this unforgettable, and once-in-a-lifetime memory together, much like the guests do at the surprise party. "We do this together".  Though that analogy does not entirely do justice of how AMAZING it feels to perform, this is the best way I can articulate the answer.

My name is Chelsey and I am a Rookie in this 2009 season! Everything is very new and exciting, and unlike anything I have ever experienced before! I would like to take this time to thank the Cardinals for allowing me to be a part of this organization, my coach for allowing me this opportunity, and my family for always supporting me. It is an honor to be awarded Cheerleader of the Week! I can't wait to see what is in store for the best team in the NFL this year!

I have been dancing since I was three years of age, and cheering since I was five. I loved every minute of performing, choreographing, and releases creative juices! I feel truly blessed to continue that passion through Cardinals! My two life mottos are: "Nothing is impossible", and "Life is too short".  Throughout high school, I made a life goal to change the world somehow, and to make a difference in the lives of others. I succeeded in that chapter of my life by being Student Body President and making a difference in the Peoria School District. Motivated by my two life mottos, I decided to try out for the Cardinals team and made it as a graduating Senior from high school. Not many people can say that they've lived their life without regret. I can honestly say that I strive to achieve and promise to embrace every opportunity that comes my way!  I look forward to expanding on those goals in the next and most important stage of my life!

Family is the most important thing to me! At try outs a Vet said that you would walk into an instant family/ group of 32 friends when you make the squad. Now add 60,000 fans into that! You all play a huge role! The fans are just as much a part of the family as the employees! Thank you for being such loyal fans and for "surprising" me at every game with your spirit, energy, and commitment!  We have some "Unfinished Business" to attend to!

GO BIG RED!
