Notable: Carolina's Graham Gano hit a 35-yard field goal with 10:05 remaining which ended up the difference. The 49ers are averaging 34.7 points per game in their victories and only 6.3 points per game in the losses.

Injury update: Tight end Vernon Davis and safety Eric Reid both left the game with concussions. Wideout Mario Manningham saw his first action of the year nearly 11 months after tearing two knee ligaments.

Snapshot: After a pair of close victories against the Rams and Buccaneers, Seattle resumed its dominating ways against Atlanta. Seattle has the best record in the NFC and tied a franchise record with its fifth road victory. The Seahawks played without center Max Unger, left tackle Russell Okung and right tackle Breno Giacomini but still amassed 211 rushing yards.
Notable: Quarterback Russell Wilson was 19-of-26 passing for 287 yards and two touchdowns. On a 43-yard scoring strike to Jermaine Kearse, Marshawn Lynch took a handoff and threw it back to Wilson, who found Kearse for a 13-3 second-quarter.
Quotable: "It was really the game we've been looking for," Seahawks coach Pete Carroll told Seahawks.com. "About a month ago I was waiting to see this happen. Some really good things happened this week with the team, behind closed doors. The guys answered the call really well. I thought we played a complete football game."
Key number: 106. Seattle's positive point differential, the second-best in the NFL behind the Denver Broncos.

ST. LOUIS RAMS

Snapshot: St. Louis pulled off the most surprising upset of the day, dominating the Colts on the road. Rookie wide receiver Tavon Austin was unstoppable, catching 81- and 57-yard touchdown passes and returning a punt 98 yards for a score.
Notable: Austin became the third player in NFL history to score three touchdowns of 55-plus yards in one game. St. Louis held Indianapolis to 18 rushing yards on 14 carries and Chris Long returned a fumble 45 yards for a touchdown for an early 7-0 lead.
Quotable: WR Tavon Austin on his breakout performance: "I knew this day was going to come," he told stlouisrams.com. "I've just been real patient and been true to myself and just kept working. On this day, I got an opportunity."
Key number: 4. Interceptions by the Rams defense, stalling any hopes of a comeback for Indianapolis.

Snapshot: Jacksonville picked up its first win of the season behind a strong effort from the defense. Cornerback Will Blackmon returned a fumble 21 yards for a touchdown with 2:32 remaining in the fourth quarter to push the lead to nine and cement the win.
Notable: The Jaguars had been one of two winless teams in the NFL heading into Week 10 along with the Buccaneers. A defense which had been statistically one of the worst in the league forced four turnovers.
Quotable: Coach Gus Bradley on the team sticking with the same philosophy despite tough results: "We stayed true," he told Jaguars.com. "We didn't say after the bye week, 'Let's change everything and approach it this way.' We did not do that. We stayed the course."
Key number: 1. It took nine tries, but Bradley finally picked up his first victory as the Jaguars' coach.
