You can't fake passion, and if there is anyone that can understand that, it's Kenny Salinas.
Salinas was named the Cardinals 2025 Fan of the Year, recognizing his love for the Cardinals. A Cardinals fan for over two decades, Salinas has dedicated every Sunday in the fall to the Cardinals. He attends every home game and makes his way as many road games as possible. Salinas will be in attendance at all 17 Cardinals games this year.
Prior to the game, Salinas visits multiple tailgates, helping get his fellow Bird Gang members energized for the game. On Sundays, Salinas is not hard to spot. He wears jerseys with multiple patches and has a prominent Cardinals-theme tattoo on his arm. Salinas is also known as "The License Plate Guy" because of his more than 200 personalized Cardinals plates.
As much as he has dedicated his passion to the Cardinals, it's not the biggest way he impacts the community. That's because he serves on five different local boards in Casa Grande and Pinal County, including as the President of the Casa Grande Food Bank. He has been the president for over 15 years. He also is a board member of the Salvation Army, Vice President of the Pinal County Junior Livestock Committee, among others.
It was at the food bank where the Cardinals, former linebacker Markus Golden, and the former Fan of the Year recipients recently surprised Salinas with the news that he would join their community of the most passionate Cardinals fans.
As part of this announcement, Salinas was gifted tickets to represent the Bird Gang at Super Bowl LX. The Cardinals also donated 25,000 meals to the Casa Grande Food Bank.
"People are hurting so bad right now," Salinas said. "This is going to help out so much with our community."
Voting for the Ultimate Fan of the Year is open, so Cardinals fans can share their support for Salinas here. The winner will be announced at the NFL Honors ceremony.
