The Cardinals charitable efforts in the community have no offseason.

Owner Michael Bidwill presented Jason Sacks and Casey U'ren of the Positive Coaching Alliance with a $70,000 donation recently. The group was invited to the Dignity Health Training Center to receive the contribution.

The goal of the partnership is to provide resources for mental health and character and leadership development across the Valley. Girls in Arizona's middle schools and high schools will benefit from the two-year union.

Workshops for women and girls in sports will be held, along with coaching clinics.

Last summer, Arizona became the eighth state to offer high school girls flag football as a sanctioned sport. Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray was in attendance for the first game between Mountain View and Mountain Pointe. He also did the ceremonial coin toss.

Along with the clinics and workshops, the Cardinals will continue to work with the Positive Coaching Alliance to create other events that will support girls flag football and other initiatives.
