The Cardinals are already -- for now -- without a pair of key defensive players because of Covid, and now they don't have their left tackle.

D.J. Humphries became the latest Cardinal to land on the Covid list on Thursday according to the NFL's transactions report, likely taking him out for Sunday's game against the Cowboys.

The Cardinals have a couple of ways to absorb the absence. Joshua Miles is the listed backup for Humphries, although Josh Jones also played left tackle exclusively in college and starting right tackle Kelvin Beachum played the left side the majority of his career.

Humphries becomes the fifth Cardinal currently on the Covid list, along with linebackers Markus Golden and Devon Kennard, cornerback Breon Borders and offensive lineman Sean Harlow.

Humphries had not missed a practice all season before Thursday. Since season-ending injuries in 2017 and 2018, Humphries has not missed a game since Kliff Kingsbury became coach -- owning an active streak of playing in 47 straight games.
