In the midst of free agency frenzy, the full list of compensatory draft picks were announced by the NFL.
There were 33 picks awarded to 15 different teams. Under the comp pick equation, the Cardinals held steady with one pick in each of the seven rounds and no extra choices, since they added more free agents than lost in 2025.
After a disappointing season, the Cardinals find themselves picking third overall on April 23. During the Scouting Combine, Cardinals general manager Monti Ossenfort didn't guarantee that he would stay at three, leaving the phones open for trades. It wasn't that long ago that the Cardinals held the third pick in the draft, and through a handful of moves, opted to select Paris Johnson Jr. with the sixth pick in the 2023 draft.
This year, due to the lack of quarterbacks on the top of the board, the opportunities to trade could become a bit more difficult. The Cardinals could also utilize their second-round selection if they would want to move back into the first round.
After reportedly adding offensive guard Isaac Seumalo via free agency, experts project the Cardinals will eye a right tackle, an edge rusher, or a quarterback in the first round.
Where the Cardinals will select in the 257-pick draft:
- First round (3 overall)
- Second round (34)
- Third round (65)
- Fourth round (104)
- Fifth round (143)
- Sixth round (183)
- Seventh round (217)
