Patrick Peterson Returns To Top 100 List

Like teammate Larry Fitzgerald the day before, Patrick Peterson also made it perfect (8-for-8 in his case) on the NFL Network's annual Top 100 list, checking in at 46. Peterson didn't have big numbers in 2018 and the team's won-loss record was poor. He wasn't used as he had been in previous years, playing zone more often and taking away his biggest strength, which is traveling and usually locking down the opposing team's best receiver.

Peterson will go back to doing that work more this season with Vance Joseph at defensive coordinator and the Cards going back to a press-coverage, man-to-man look. Of course, he won't be able to do that the first six games of the season because of his suspension. The rules say any suspended player is ineligible for the Pro Bowl, so Peterson's perfect Pro Bowl streak will end after the first eight years of his career. It'll be interesting if he can return to this list next season with a 10-game sample size.
