The Cardinals added to their cornerback room Friday before the game against the Chiefs by claiming Luq Barcoo after he was cut by the Jaguars.

The 2020 undrafted rookie spent last season with the Jaguars, and was released Thursday. He appeared in three games last season.

The Cardinals had a roster spot with additions to the Covid list, with both guard Justin Pugh and defensive lineman Jordan Phillips finding themselves sidelined late in the week. The NFL Network also reported that tight ends coach Steve Heiden and an unnamed defensive assistant will miss the Chiefs game Friday night because they are in Covid protocols.

Coach Kliff Kingsbury had said earlier in camp the entire coaching staff was fully vaccinated.

Wide receiver Andy Isabella will miss his second straight game on the Covid list as well.
