The Cardinals shrunk the roster by three Monday, releasing a trio of players that were all signed as undrafted rookies.
Cut were offensive lineman Jake Benzinger, safety Reggie Floyd and wide receiver Rashad Medaris.
That brings the Cardinals roster to 77 from the 80-man limit, so there would be room to sign veterans if desired. The Cardinals are in the middle of strength and conditioning work; the team is still more than a week away from beginning practice.
Of the 21 players who originally agreed to terms with the team as undrafted rookies in April, eight remain on the roster.
