JACKSONVILLE, Florida -- No, DeAndre Hopkins didn't practice this week, but not surprisingly, he is active Sunday against the Jaguars and will play despite dealing with a ribs injury.
Hopkins was questionable, but for a player who has missed only two games in eight-plus seasons, his availability seemed inevitable.
Cornerbacks Byron Murphy and Marco Wilson, who both are dealing with ankle issues, are also active. The one starter not playing is right tackle Kelvin Beachum (ribs). Justin Murray was expected to start in his place, although in pregame warmups, Murray was at right guard with starting right guard Josh Jones moving to right tackle.
With Antoine Wesley, a bigger receiver who backs up Hopkins on the depth chart, no longer on the Covid list, he gets the nod as the Cardinals' fifth wide receiver with Andy Isabella a healthy scratch. Linebacker Devon Kennard is also active after missing last game with a hamstring injury.
The full inactives list:
- QB Chris Streveler
- WR Andy Isabella
- RB Eno Benjamin
- CB Luq Barcoo
- CB Tay Gowan
- LB Victor Dimukeje
- T Kelvin Bechum
For the Jaguars, two of their top cornerbacks, C.J. Henderson and Tre Herndon, are also inactive.
