2021: Appeared in all 17 regular season games (five starts) and had a career-high 52 tackles (36 solo) to go along with 1.0 sack, two fumble recoveries, two tackles for loss and five special teams tackles … also had four tackles on defense and a special teams tackle in three postseason contests … made his first-ever start in a season-opener vs. Cle (9/12) and totaled three tackles and a fumble recovery; with KC trailing 22-17 in the third quarter, recovered a Nick Chubb fumble at the Chiefs 47-yard line; Chiefs kicked a FG on the ensuing possession … tied his career high with his fifth start of the season and totaled four tackles, his second career sack and a tackle for loss @ Ten (10/24); took down Ryan Tannehill for a nine-yard loss late in the second quarter … registered a season-high nine tackles (six solo), a fumble recovery and a tackle for loss in a 34-28 OT victory @ LAC (12/16) on TNF; made a critical play in the fourth quarter when he recovered a fumble on a 3rd-n-1 play from the KC 1-yard line to halt a Chargers scoring opportunity … totaled three tackles in the Wild Card victory vs. Pit (1/16/22) … had a tackle on defense and on special teams in the AFC Championship Game vs. Cin (1/30/22).
2020: Played 15 games (five starts) during the regular season and totaled 43 tackles, a career-high three tackles for loss, his first career sack, three QB hits, his first career forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and a special teams tackle during the regular season … added 12 tackles in three postseason matchups … made his first start of the season in the Chiefs 23-20 OT victory @ LAC (9/20) and finished with a season-high nine tackles … made his second consecutive start and recorded two tackles, his first career sack, a tackle for loss and his first career fumble recovery @ Bal (9/28) on MNF; posted his first career fumble recovery when he jumped on a Lamar Jackson fumble late in the second quarter; had his first career sack when he took down Jackson for an eight-yard loss in the fourth quarter … recorded his second fumble recovery in as many games when recovered a Brian Hoyer fumble late in the third quarter vs. NE (10/5); recovered the fumble on a 3rd-n-8 play from the KC 10-yard line; Chiefs scored a TD on the ensuing possession to take a 13-3 lead … made his third start of the year and finished with four tackles, a QB hit and a tackle for loss @ Mia (12/13) … started and registered eight tackles @ NO (12/20) … making his third straight start, posted three tackles, a tackle for loss and his first career forced fumble vs. Atl (12/27) … saw action in all three postseason contests, including Super Bowl LV when he finished second on the team with a postseason career high nine tackles vs. TB (2/7/21).

Attended Sycamore (IL) High School where he earned three letters at wide receiver and strong safety … garnered first team all-state, all-conference and all-area honors as a senior when he finished with 78 tackles on defense while adding 45 receptions for 1,050 yards and 15 TDs as a receiver … also had two punt-return TDs … two-year letterman in basketball, earning all-conference honors.
