College:

In his five years (2018-22) with the Cougars, was a three-time team captain (2020-22) and played 47 games (44 starts), completing 956-of-1,497 pass attempts (63.9%) for 11,994 yards and 104 TDs … also ran for 1,248 yards and 15 TDs on 412 carries … left Houston ranked second in school history in career TD passes (104) and TDs responsible for (119), third in school annals with 956 completions and fourth in career victories (25) … his 119 TDs responsible for are an American Athletic Conference record … in his final two years at Houston (2021-22), led the Cougars to a 20-7 record and was named the MVP of the Birmingham Bowl (2021 vs. Auburn) and Offensive MVP of the Independence Bowl (2022 vs. Louisiana) … had 13 games of 300+ passing yards, four of 400+ passing yards and a career-high of 527 yards … had three games of 100+ rushing yards … had multiple TD passes in a game 34 times, including 16 outings with 3+ passing TDs and seven games with 4+ TD passes.

2022: As a senior captain, earned first-team All-American Athletic Conference honors after completing 334-of-496 pass attempts (67.3%) for 4,074 yards and 40 TDs … also led the team in rushing with 128 carries for 544 yards and five TDs … ranked second nationally in points responsible for per game (21.2), third in the FBS in passing TDs (40), fifth nationally in passing yards per game (313.4) and seventh nationally in completions per game (25.69) … according to PFF.com, his 92.0 QB grade and 91.3 passing grade both tied for best in the country … Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award semifinalist and Manning Academy Nike Air-It-Out Winner … ranked fourth in the nation with five games of 350+ passing yards, fourth with six games of a 70.0+ completion percentage and fifth nationally with 11 games of 20+ completions … over the final eight games, threw for 2,773 yards and 31 TDs … had at least one TD pass in all 13 games and multiple TD passes in 11 contests … against Southern Methodist (11/5), threw for 527 yards and seven TDs while rushing for 111 yards and a TD (run of 55 yards), becoming the only FBS player in 2022 to pass for 500+ yards and rush for 100+ yards in a single game.

2021: Started all 14 games and led Houston to an 12-2 record, marking just the third season of 12+ wins in school history and the first since 2015 (13) … completed 287-of-420 pass attempts (68.3%) for 3,544 yards and 30 TDs while also rushing for 154 yards and two TDs on 105 carries … established career highs in completion percentage (68.3) and passing yards per attempt (8.4) … ranked second in the AAC in completions, passing yards and TDs … had at least one TD pass in 13 games, including multiple TD passes in 11 contests.

2020: Started all eight games and completed 170-of-285 pass attempts (59.6%) for 2,048 yards and 15 TDs while also rushing for 253 yards and five TDs on 72 carries … became the first Houston QB since Case Keenum (2011) to throw for 300+ yards in four consecutive games … twice named to the AAC Honor Roll.

2019: Started the final seven games and completed 106-of-179 pass attempts (59.2%) for 1,533 yards and 11 TDs while rushing for 244 yards and two TDs on 66 carries … posted his first game of 300+ passing yards (393 vs. Navy) and 400+ passing yards (407 vs. Southern Methodist) … also had his first career 100-yard rushing performance (100 @ North Texas).

2018: Started two of five games played, stepping in for injured starter D'Eriq King for the final two contests … completed 59-of-177 pass attempts for 795 yards and eight TDs compared to just two INTs … also rushed for 53 yards and TD … made his college debut vs. Texas Southern .

Personal:

Attended Hebron (Carrollton, TX) High School where he was rated the nation's #19 QB by ESPN after throwing for 6,686 yards and 66 TDs while rushing for 1,074 yards and 20 TDs … as a senior in 2017, completed 181-of-270 passes for 2,416 yards and 23 TDs, also rushing for 368 yards and nine TDs … totaled 2,445 passing yards and 22 TDs as a junior with 512 rushing yards and eight TDs … threw for 1,825 yards and 21 TDs as a sophomore … graduated with a bachelor's degree in Finance.
