Biography
PRO CAREER:
Played 35 games in two seasons (2018-19) with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League where he threw for 2,698 yards and 19 TDs and ran for 1,167 yards and 22 TDs. Completed 156-of-234 passes for 1,564 yards and eight TDs, adding 127 carries for 726 yards and 12 TDs for the Grey Cup champions in 2019. Signed with the Cardinals on 2/4/20.
COLLEGE:
Started all 23 games played in two seasons (2016-17) at South Dakota where he threw for 6,081 yards and 54 TDs on 480-of-754 passing to go along with 1,543 rushing yards and 20 TDs … earned first-team All-American, first-team All-Missouri Valley Football Conference and MVFC Offensive Player of the Year honors as a senior in 2017 … runner-up for the Walter Payton Award given to the top offensive player in FCS football … set 20 program records and five MVFC records including new marks for passing yards (4,134) and total offense (4,854) … captained the nation's second-ranked offense which set an MVFC record by averaging 523.6 yards per game … ranked top-10 in FCS passing yards (second, 4,134), total TDs (third, 43), TD-INT ratio (third, 4:1), completion percentage (eighth, 65.7 percent) and pass efficiency rating (eighth, 156.5) … named MVFC Newcomer of the Year and All-MVFC with 1,947 yards and 22 TDs on 164-of-273 passing in addition to 161 carries for a team-high 823 rushing yards and nine TDs as a junior in 2016 … transferred to South Dakota from Minnesota where he played 10 games in two seasons (2014-15) as a QB and WR … redshirted the 2013 season.
