  • Seven-year NFL veteran had 302 tackles, 41 tackles for loss, 23.5 sacks, 51 QB hits, four forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries in 83 games (65 starts) with the Giants (2014-17) and Lions (2018-19) before signing a three-year contract with the Cardinals on 3/19/20.
  • Became the first LB in Lions history to record at least 40 tackles and 5.0 sacks in multiple seasons (46/7.0 in 2018 and 58/7.0 in 2019).
  • Set single-season career highs with 45 solo tackles, 15 QB hits and two fumble recoveries while matching career bests with 58 total tackles and 7.0 sacks in 2019.
  • Named NFC Defensive Player of the Week (Week 14, 2014) with six tackles, 2.0 sacks, two tackles for loss, three QB hits and a forced fumble that was returned for a TD against the Titans.
  • Son of former Cardinals offensive lineman Derek Kennard Sr., who also played for the Los Angeles Express of the USFL in addition to the Saints and Cowboys, helping Dallas win Super Bowl XXX at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, AZ. Set to become the third father-son duo to play for the Cardinals, joining the Butlers (Kevin and Drew) and the Metcalfs (Terry and Eric).
