- Selected by the Cardinals in the fourth round (103rd overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Iowa State. Became the first Cyclone receiver selected in the NFL Draft since Tracy Henderson was picked in the fifth round (132nd overall) by the Giants in 1985. Also became the 10th Iowa State player drafted by the Cardinals and the first since TE Mike Banks (223rd overall) in 2002.
- One of three Cardinals WRs drafted in 2019, all of whom ranked top-10 in FBS receiving yards last season – Massachusetts WR Andy Isabella (first), Fresno State WR KeeSean Johnson (sixth) and Butler (tied for eighth).
- Finished his college career with 110 receptions for 2,149 yards (fourth in program history) and 18 TDs (third) in 37 games. Had eight-career 100-yard performances, which is tied for the second-best total in program history.
- Established single-season school records with 1,318 receiving yards (tied for eighth in the nation) and a 22.0-yards-per-catch average (third) in 2018. Also set a program record with six 100-yard outings and ranked ninth nationally with 101.4 receiving yards per game as a junior.
