Budda Baker conducts himself the right way on the field, and he continues to be recognized for it.
The safety is again the Cardinals' nominee for the Art Rooney Sportsmanship award, a list that was unveiled on Wednesday. Baker has been a finalist for the award the last two seasons. That top eight finalist list comes out next month.
The Rooney award is given to the NFL player who best demonstrates the qualities of on-field sportsmanship, including fair play, respect for the game and opponents, and integrity in competition. The winner is announced during NFL Honors the week of the Super Bowl.
Baker, coming off arguably his best game of the season with an interception and half-sack, said after being named a finalist that he is just being himself on the field.
"I just try to play the game at a high level and do it to the best of my ability," Baker said last year. "Be the best teammate I can be. I don't really talk smack much to the other team, I don't know. It's definitely something cool."
