Cardinals Have Short Inactive List On Day Kliff Kingsbury Returns

Hicks, Kennard, Vallejo all active against Texans

The Cardinals were able to make sure their most important inactive from last week -- the head coach -- will be active and available today against the Texans, when Kliff Kingsbury tested out of Covid protocols Sunday morning.

Defensive players Chandler Jones, Zach Allen and Corey Peters remained on the Covid list after Saturday's deadline, so they were not going to be available. But all the players questionable for the Cards -- linebacker Jordan Hicks, linebacker Tanner Vallejo, and linebacker Devon Kennard -- are active.

As for the (albeit short) inactive list:

  • QB Chris Streveler
  • WR Andy Isabella
  • TE Darrell Daniels (hamstring)
  • DL Rashard Lawrence (calf)

Meanwhile, tight end Maxx Williams, who is out for the season after injuring his right knee and who had surgery on Thursday, tweeted out his mood getting ready for Sunday's game. Maxx is always ready, injured or not.
