Trey McBride still is on pace to set the NFL record for receptions by a tight end in a season, needing eight more over the final two games to surpass Zach Ertz for his 117th catch.
A season like that all but guaranteed his Pro Bowl status, which McBride received Tuesday morning as the league announced their 2025 Pro Bowl rosters.
Safety Budda Baker was also again named to the NFC roster, his eighth Pro Bowl selection and his seventh at his position. He made it as a rookie as a special teams player.
Outside linebacker Josh Sweat, who has tied his career best with 11.0 sacks, was named an alternate.
It is McBride's second straight Pro Bowl selection, to go with his second straight 100-reception season -- the first NFL tight end to accomplish the feat. His streak of 16 straight games with at least five receptions, a streak that just ended Sunday, was also an NFL record for a tight end.
With two games left, McBride has 109 catches, 1,098 yards and 10 touchdowns. The franchise record for receptions in a season is 115, by wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.
Baker has half a sack, an interception, five passes defensed and 111 total tackles this season. His 971 defensive snaps is the most on the team, 98 percent of the total defensive snaps of the Cardinals this season.
