FRIDAY REPORT
After missing Thursday's practice with a heel injury, Dante Stills returned to practice on Friday. The defensive lineman is questionable for Sunday's game against the Saints, as is linebacker Owen Pappoe (oblique). Offensive lineman Will Hernandez will not play as he continues recovering from his ACL injury. He had been a limited participant throughout the week.
Defensive lineman Calais Campbell missed Friday's practice (rest day).
The Saints will be without edge rusher Chase Young (calf) and offensive lineman Trevor Penning (toe) this weekend. Young was injured during Thursday's practice. Cornerback Alontae Taylor will be active after nursing a groin injury.
THURSDAY REPORT
Dante Stills missed Thursday's practice with a heel injury. He and linebacker Owen Pappoe (quadricep) were the two newest additions to the injury report.
The defensive line unit has suffered multiple injuries heading into the season. Walter Nolen III, Bilal Nichols, and Justin Jones will miss the first four games of the season at least due to IR/PUP designations.
Offensive lineman Will Hernandez (knee) was limited for a second consecutive practice. Jon Gaines II (thumb) practiced full.
Chase Young (calf) was not seen during Thursday's practice. It is being reported that the edge rusher might not play this weekend. Offensive lineman Trevor Penning (toe) also did not practice. Corner Alontae Taylor (groin) is reportedly trending towards playing in Week 1.
Game designation status will be announced on Friday's injury report.
WEDNESDAY REPORT
There are a few amazing aspects to the start of the season. The first, of course, is football is back. With the new season comes a healthy team entering Week 1. Offensive lineman Will Hernandez, who tore his ACL last season, has been participating at practice in a limited role. Jon Gaines II (thumb) was full.
The only players the Cardinals will be without are the likes of defensive lineman Walter Nolen III, Justin Jones, Bilal Nichols, and outside linebacker BJ Ojulari, who will miss at least the first four games on injured reserve or PUP.
"Guys on IR are doing a good job coming along," coach Jonathan Gannon said.
The Saints' starting left guard Trevor Penning (toe) missed practice. First string cornerback Alontae Taylor (groin) and defensive end Chase Young (Calf) were limited. Young's injury occurred during Wednesday's practice per coach Kellen Moore.
