Pro Bowl Cheerleader Diary, Part 3

CheerBlog3USE.jpg

I cannot believe it is already Thursday, this week is flying by! Today we started off with our usual team breakfast and headed straight to our stadium rehearsal. It was so sunny out, everyone was excited to dance but nervous about the heat. Luckily, there was a nice breeze throughout the entire 3 hour practice and we had plenty of water breaks.

At rehearsal we went through all of our dances, our pre game routine that we'll be performing with the goo goo dolls as well as setting all of the little things like what to do for national anthem and when the players run out. This was just another thing to unify us all and truly make us feel like a team. Straight from practice all four lines ( two AFC and two NFC) headed to various appearances around the island. I was fortunate enough to participate in an event called Community Blitz: Play 60 held at Kaneohe Marine Base. This was an incredible event where children of all ages are challenged to play outside activities for at least 60 minutes everyday.  The staff and some players took them through the full hour with exercises like push ups and relays. Everyone had a really great time.

After this, we had 30 minutes to head to the beach before we had to go get ready for dinner, at this point we are going to the beach whenever we have a spare 5 mins. We had a really fun dinner at Dave and Busters followed by some Q and A from the directors, choreographer, and all of the cheerleaders. This, once again, helped us all to get to know each other better and to really deepen our relationships with one another. After dinner it was time for bed as we have another busy day ahead of us. Aloha Arizona!

P.S. pictured is my roommate, Mandisa from the New York Jets!

Love, Taryn
